Guardian Of The Bikes

Street Photography Wednesdays

Taken in Tokyo, Japan.

I have never seen so many bikes on (narrow) roads and streets like in Japan. They're milling about really everywhere.
Thus, most bikes cannot just be parked on the street, cause there are cars, pedestrians and other bikes already. The solution is clear: A bike parking area. People can just leave their bikes there. Just around my station are about 4 or 5 of these parking areas.
The other day I also saw a queue of about 15 people waiting for access to the parking lot.
