When we adopted our six-year old German shepherd about three months ago, we had no idea what, if any, training she had, so we were pleasantly surprised when she took to the obstacle course in the Mill Valley, CA dog park quite naturally and fearlessly. Here, it appears she is stopped at the top and hesitating about going down the ramp, but she's really in full motion and actually having fun. She jumped through a hoop, scrambled through a long tube, sidled on her belly under a low bench and happily jumped over hurdles. Of course, she did know there were some tasty pieces of cheese awaiting her at the end of each obstacle...

there is no spoon / 115.366

"Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth: there is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself." - The Matrix

Kung Fu Polar Bear
Via Flickr:
Everybody was kung foo fighting...
Took this at the central park zoo, it was a tough shot to get since I was using my sigma dp2 with terribly slow auto focus, but I managed to do it manually. This polar bear was very entertaining, he was diving and giving us a great show, he looked very graceful underwater for such a huge beast.
Thanks for looking

Mayberry / 110.366
Photographers Notes:
I pulled up into this parking spot to go pick up the pizza and saw that reflection and immediately dug for my little Flip in my purse. Of course, simultaneously, the kid that owns the car came flying out the door of the building and jumped into the car and started it up. I said, "oh no, no no no!" He's already in the car in this photo. I had all of 10 seconds from cutting the engine to the end of him driving away. Thank jeebus for the point and shoot.

Rejuvenated
Via Flickr:
Cooling off on a hot summer day.
Note: Anyone who lives in Melbourne will be able to tell you it was actually freezing when I took this, given that it's autumn. I was also standing in my underwear on my windy balcony, and I didn't think to use warm water (instead opting for ice-cold pain-water). Holy hell it was cold. And I poured a full 4 litres of water over my head 3 times until my girlfriend got the shot I wanted.
