Again with the soft lighting, but this time with a gorgeous forest shot from Setauket, New York. I love the low perspective here, it really makes one feel the immensity of the trees. The darkness of the ground is contrasted wonderfully by the light streaming through and bouncing off the trunks and leaves. Well shot azamrashdi!

This fantastic tree is from Johns Island in Charleston, South Carolina. The soft warm lighting belies the strength of this beast! The huge trunk and branches covered in moss convey the rich history this tree has lived through. I wonder what stories it could tell, if only it could speak. At first I didn't really notice this picture, to be honest, but each time I browsed through the thread, it still kind of stuck somewhere - and in the end I'd totally fallen in love with this macro. Beautiful framing and composition, and a great range of "whites". Very picturesque!
