This is the October entry for my series of seasonal globular digi-magic upon our Toronto as seen from the Riverdale Park toward Broadview Avenue, filled with the cute buildings of lovely Greektown, the Byzantine-like church including.

Some of you may remember that my grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. She had a mastectomy and is all clear of cancer, knock on wood.
Did anyone see the special "Say Yes To The Dress" episode about Lori? I barely watch TV, but over the last few years whenever I had access to one, I managed to stumble on that show and always loved Lori & Monte. I just watched this morning... I definitely got misty-eyed by the end. They had a woman on who was renewing her vows, and she's been fighting various forms of cancer for almost 25 years.. I didn't even know that was possible. What a tremendous woman.. such an inspiration. It puts everything else into perspective.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM). Take care of yourself, ladies!

Autumn Lower Lewis River Falls

A Lesson Learned (for the umpteenth time)

Always take some water shoes or sandals. When photographing waterfalls, you know you'll need them. Somehow, I never remember to take them.
Yesterday, I took my son for a photo trip to the Lewis River. We captured both Lower Lewis and Middle Lewis Falls, but ran out of time (and it started to rain pretty hard) before we could make it to Upper Lewis Falls. Some other time, I suppose.

Inspired by ODC3 - Rule of Thirds
The second day with my extension tubes. This one uses my nifty fifty with the 21mm tube. I used the natural light coming through the window on the right, with a wireless flash on the left.
