Congratulations!
The movement and the clarity combined with the black & white make this a work of art. Even the little everyday moments in life made interesting.

The Ventriloquist and the Dummy
Admin's Choice - Weekend Showcase
Congratulations Jason!
This appealed to me the moment I saw it. The depth of field gives it an even more ominous feeling than it already conveys. The color scheme definitely adds to the feeling of darkness.

284 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe!!
This is an instant fav for me taken by Shelley. The ghosts of people and their steady hands make for a really intriguing shot of the spiral staircase in the Arc de Triomphe. Thanks for sharing in the Wednesday theme and keep climbing!
Glitter Globe
This fantastic glittery globe is Greg's first contribution to TWTME and I think he chose a great pic! I love the detail, the depth of field and the ornament itself; it's so pretty! Thanks for sharing this great globe with us in the Wednesday Spiral Theme.

Traffic light
Admin's Choice - Sunday Theme - RED 'N' GREEN
Congratulations, John!
I love how the vibrant colors and low light conditions do not hide the emotion and expression on the singer's face. The two-toned microphone is like icing on the cake!

What a magnificent capture! It's as if the raspberry is floating in air. The color is a real contrast against the white. Perfectly timed.

I chose this photo as it almost looks like the stars are spinning. The matte color of the ornaments is a great contest. It's a wonderful photo in the spirit of the season.

This fantastic macro is the winning entry of "saddle" for the 43rd Scavenger Hunt. This was lisaendavy's first foray into the hunt and she nailed it with twelve fantastic plant photos to portray the twelve mathematical items needed this week. Please take a look at the slideshow. I loved how she used one theme to complete another. Well done!!!

The way it is photographed you cannot really tell that it is a statue. It's so touching and the blue tone really helps convey the feeling.

Grain and Dunes
Gorgeous light and use of DoF really made this photo stand out for me in the Creative Challenge ~ Texture in Nature. Plus all that detail in the sand and bright blue sky! What is not to love.
Red maple in a stream
This was just a beautiful contrast of silky water and textured rocks with a pop of red for good measure. A lovely chose for the Creative challenge ~ Texture in nature!
Athabasca Falls #3
Normally I try to stick to two choices for the Creative Challenge, but I could resist blogging this absolutely gorgeous shot that was posted in the Texture in Nature Challenge! The use of multiple exposures really makes this pop!

Sunday Theme - TRIOS - Admin's Choice
I love the composition of this photo and the delicate beauty of the wings. My favorite part, though, is that stunning background. The blue contrasts so nicely with the butterflies, and it has the feel of a sheer batiked fabric. Congratulations, goldstardeputy!

Santa Penguins
I love these little guys. They make me laugh and they were a fantastic entry for the 42nd scavenger hunf to depict "the answer". I think only fans of "Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy" got where I was going that, but it was truly interesting to see where people went with that hunt. As steph.A says, "Chocolate is always the answer" and honestly, I can't argue with that one iota. Congrats to Steph.A and to see all her entries in a slideshow - click here.

Congratulations Stefan!
This beautiful photo really jumped out at me. The snow covered trees, the bit of red standing out and the deep blue winter sky in contrast with all that white make a great subject for the winter theme.
